Red Wing
Founded in 1905 by Charles Beckman, Red Wing Shoe Company was built on a simple promise: create durable, comfortable work footwear that stands up to the toughest jobs. What began as a small Main Street operation in Red Wing, Minnesota has grown into a globally recognized brand trusted by workers across industries and environments—from Middle East oil fields to North American farms.
Today, Red Wing remains a privately held company headquartered in its hometown, with products distributed in over 110 countries and supported by more than 4,000 U.S. retail locations. With a workforce of over 2,000 employees, the company is known for producing premium safety and work footwear that reflects its heritage of quality and craftsmanship.
Red Wing operates two U.S. manufacturing facilities, both certified to ISO 9001 international quality standards, and owns S.B. Foot Tanning Company, ensuring a consistent supply of high-quality leather. More than a century later, Red Wing continues to deliver on its founding commitment: building boots as tough and dependable as the people who wear them.
